Token name, symbol and the metadata URI (which points to the logo and description) live in a Metaplex metadata account. The update authority can edit them as long as the token is still mutable.

Use this to fix a typo, move the logo to a new host or refresh the description, then lock the token once it is final.

How it works

  1. Connect the wallet that holds the update authority.
  2. Paste the token mint address and click Load.
  3. Open Update Token Metadata and enter the new name, symbol and URI.
  4. Sign the transaction.

Why does the update fail?

Either the connected wallet is not the update authority or the token has already been made immutable.

How do I change the logo?

Upload a new metadata JSON that points to the new image, then set its address as the URI.

How much does it cost?
