The freeze authority can freeze any holder's token account and stop them from selling. Token scanners flag an active freeze authority as a risk, and many traders skip those tokens.
Revoking it sets the authority to none on-chain. Nobody, including you, can freeze accounts afterwards.
How it works
- Connect the wallet that currently holds the freeze authority.
- Paste the token mint address and click Load.
- Open Revoke Freeze Authority and confirm.
- Sign the transaction in your wallet.
FAQ
Is revoking freeze authority reversible?
No. Once set to none, the freeze authority can never be restored.
What is the difference with mint authority?
Mint authority creates new supply. Freeze authority locks holders' accounts. They are separate and revoked separately.
How much does it cost?
0.08 SOL plus the Solana network fee (a fraction of a cent).
